Tiff 419 Bermuda
is an improved hybrid Bermuda developed from the famed Tifton,
Georgia turf breeding program. Tifway forms a fine textured, dense hybrid
Bermuda turf, that excels in high traffic areas or under athletic field
conditions. It is more aggressive than Tifgreen and holds its color longer
going into the winter months. Tifway performs at its best in full sun with a
mowing height of 1/2-3/4 inches. When fully established, it has excellent
drought and heat tolerance and will recover quickly from abuse or neglect.
Tifway 419 is recommended for full sun turfgrass areas with high traffic and
heavy use conditions. It is best utilized on well maintained athletic fields
and golf fairways and tees. |

Hydroseeding
(or
hydraulic mulch seeding, hydro-mulching, hydra seeding) is a planting process
which utilizes a slurry of seed and mulch. The slurry is transported in a
tank, either truck- or trailer-mounted and sprayed over prepared ground in a
uniform layer. The mulch in the hydro seed mixture helps maintain the moisture
level of the seed and seedlings. The slurry often has other ingredients
including fertilizer, tackifying agents, green dye and other additives. |

609 Buffalo Grass
A vegetatively
reproduced buffalo grass cultivar, named 609 Buffalo grass, is distinguished
by its excellent overall turf grass quality, rate of establishment, good
cold tolerance, high density, and excellent color. This cultivar is adapted
to low maintenance conditions and has the ability to maintain growth and
color later into the fall than other warm season grasses. |

Creeping
Bentgrass is a cool-season specialty grass primarily used for golf
course putting greens, lawn bowling greens, and lawn tennis facilities. The
skill and expense needed to maintain this species usually eliminates it as a
possible home lawn turf. It is adapted to cool, humid regions and prefers
sunny areas but will tolerate some shade. It tolerates low temperatures but
will discolor early in the fall. |
